Operation of the on-screen display for CD/VCD

“MAIN”

On-screen display

Various disc playback features

1Track icon

The track number is displayed.

Selecting the track number

(CD/VCD with P.B.C. OFF)

Select the track icon and select the track number from

the submenu.

2Time display icon

The time display is displayed.

Changing the time display

(CD/VCD with P.B.C. OFF)

Select the time display icon and select the time to be

displayed from the submenu.

The time display on the display part of the main unit

also changes.

Time Search --:-- : Select this for time search

(within the same track).

Single Time : The elapsed time is dis-

played for the track being

played back.

Single Remain Time : The remaining time is dis-

played for the track being

played back.

Total Time : The elapsed time is dis-

played for the disc being

played back.

Total Remain Time : The remaining time is dis-

played for the disc being

played back.

Time search (CD/Video CD with P.B.C. OFF)

The operation is the same as for performing "Time

search" of "Operation of the on-screen display for

DVD Video". (Step 3 enters the time in the track being

played back.) O

Memory playback icon (CD/Video CD with

P.B.C. OFF)

This is used to register the point to be played back for

memory playback which can be called easily.

Refer to 4 of "Operation of the on-screen display

for DVD Video" (O) for the operation for "Memory

registration" and "Memory playback".

Repeat icon

The repeat playback mode is displayed.

Changing the repeat playback mode

Select the repeat icon and select the repeat playback

mode from the submenu.

Off : Repeat playback is canceled.

Track : The track being played will be repeated.

Disc : The disc being played will be repeated.

A B : Repeated playback of any interval.

EXIT icon

Select this to make the onscreen display disappear.

6 Sound icon

The sound properties, the playback frequency, the bit

rate, and the playback channels are displayed.

Switching the playback channel of a Video CD

Select the sound icon and select the playback channel

from the submenu.

7 V. F.S. icon

The V.F.S. mode is displayed.

Switching the V.F.S. mode

Select the V.F.S. icon and select the mode from the

submenu (Off, V.F.S. Movie, V.F.S. Music, C.V.

Movie, C.V. Music).

8 Picture quality adjustment icon

Used to adjust the picture quality. Select the picture

quality adjustment icon and select the picture quality

from the submenu.

Refer to "Adjusting the picture quality" (´) for

the adjustment method.
